This film was designed to represent a weather map. Although not a weather map as seen on the evening news. The design had to have warmth and character and be able to animate in a non-graphic way. The end result is a painterly effect that used several layers combined in Flame.

The paint strokes were created from flat artwork using a custom written "spark" module for Flame. The spark, called T_paint was developed by Simon Robinson at The Foundry in consultation with David, the director. Without this piece of software from The Foundry it is

unlikely that the demanding production schedule could have been met. All production and post-production was carried out in house.
